Amma...We Miss You!

We try hard to run away and hide from the fact, but it's not possible. Fighting silent tears, wangling chocked up words and trying to hang on courageously fades away every night. Dad is trying hard to cope with his part, for me, for others. Bestow your love as you always did and protect us - angel of love and sacrifice. For you Paddu -
One calm, bright, sweet, sunshiny day, an angel stole out of heaven and came down to this old world, and roamed field and forest, city and hamlet. Just as the sun went down he spread his wings and said: "Now my visit is out, and I must go back to the world of light. But before I go, I must gather some mementos of my visit here."
He looked into a beautiful flower garden and said, "How lovely and fragrant these flowers are." He plucked the rarest roses and made a bouquet and said, "I see nothing more beautiful and fragrant than these; I will take them with me."
But he looked a little further and saw a bright-eyed, rosy-cheeked baby, smiling into its mother's face. And he said, "Oh, that baby's smile is prettier than this bouquet; I will take that, too."
Then he looked just beyond the cradle and there was a mother's love pouring out like a gush of river towards her daughter. And he said, "Oh, that mother's love is the most altruistic act I have seen on this earth; I will carry that, too."
With the three treasures he winged his way to the pearly gates, and lit just on the outside and said, "Before I go in, I will examine my mementos." And he looked at the flowers and they had withered. He looked at the baby's smile and it had faded. He looked at the mother's love and there it was, in all its pristine beauty.
He threw aside the withered flowers and faded smile, and winged his way through the gates and led all the hosts of heaven together and said, "Here is the only thing I found on earth that would keep its beauty all the way to heaven - it is the mother's love!"

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you

Is there a reason for the imbalance
What goes on in the minds of abundance
Wondered how it feels when everything fails
Destiny of those with full of ails

Share what you have today
Coz you may need some of it tomorrow
It's a game of fate
Better late than being narrow

Sparsity of love and time
Coz there are many to part with the dime
I ensure you will cherish the days
When you find the truth of His ways

Straight from Cyberspace

A woman and a man are involved in a car accident. It's a bad one. Both of their cars are totally demolished but amazingly neither of them are hurt. After they crawl out of their cars, the woman says, "So you're a man, that's interesting. I'm a woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There's nothing left but fortunately we are unhurt. This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days."

The man replied, "I agree with you completely. This must be a sign from God!

The woman continued, "And look at this, here's another miracle... My car is completely demolished but this bottle of wine didn't break. Surely God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune." Then she hands the bottle to the man. The man shakes his head in agreement, opens it and drinks half the bottle and then hands it back to the woman. The woman takes the bottle, immediately puts the cap back on, and hands it back to the man. The man asks, "Aren't you having any?" "No, I think I'll just wait for the police..."

Touched By An Angel :)

Our sweet little angel has no idea what an effect she had when she landed on earth..straight into our lives..god surely sent her to heal our wounded soul..she began to mesmerize us with every move, every smile and the ever echoing giggle..no matter how horrible your day would have been, she wouldn't wana know, she wouldn't ask - all she would do is make you smile with her wink..a sanative touch and hug that'll help you forget the irksome hours spent in the cubicle. With a race against time we try to enjoy every single growing day of our Rajati (my mom nick named her that) but are always taken aback when we see her old pics and wonder when was she that tiny :)

We didn't know we would get a surprise-us-with-a-phrase package with her school admission. We would jus gape at her when she comes up with those wacky Q&A -
(Also contributing to her vocab is Pogo and the amazing world of super cartoon channels) One of the miracles I witnessed after Kavya's birth is my bro, Kittu, reaching this amazing level of patience..she can sure nachao him on her unglis :p

I hope every single family gets to witness this amazing era of seeing a child grow and realise life's so beautiful with them around. God bless all these taare zameen par :)
